I have lived in Peoria since the age of 9 and attended Peoria High School and then went on to Illinois State University.
Been in the business since 1986.
I have extensive experience in the Insurance field as well as the financial business which makes me uniquely helpful to my clients. There are many insurance agents who dabble in investments and many Investment Advisors who dabble in insurance. I have a background in estate planning, pension maximization, as well as annuity maximization.
I enjoy helping my clients plan for retirement and we strive to get them into position that they go to work because they like what they do not because they have to go to work! We also strive to help our client protect their assets so they can pass them to children, grandchildren, or charities.
Started on the insurance side with Northwestern Mutual where I worked for 10 years. While at NML I ran the College Internship program where I recruited, trained, and supervised college students. We had one of the top College Agencies in the country.
I got my series 7, 65, and 63 in 1996 when I began working for Robert W Baird. I spent 6 years and then decided to go independent as I joined the CMFS Group. There I joined Craig and continued to develop my personal group of clients. In December 2013 Craig Miller asked me to manage the office and to service his clients. I continue to develop my personal client group as well as Craig’s.
I have been blessed to be married to wife for 30 years. She retired from the dental field in 2015. I am also blessed to have 2 wonderful daughters…..Kristen and Haley. Haley was married to Kyle in 2015 and lives in Dunlap. Kristen was married to Jerry in 2016 and they have a son Leighton!
Jim and Jill are very involved in the ministries of their church, Bible Study Fellowship, and The Great Banquet. They are very active and enjoy golf, snow skiing, and cycling. They are blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with their family!
